'Broken Toe Peanut Butter'

Pour ceux qui n'étaient pas au courant, je me suis (plus que certainement) cassée le petit doigt de pied (je passe mon tour concernant le pourquoi du comment). C'est douloureux mais surtout handicapant : je boite, et ne peux donc plus aller faire mes joggings.

Ma coloc, trop sympa, était complètement paniquée (j'lui ai pourtant expliqué que ce n'était absolument pas grave). Elle s'est précipitée pour m'acheter du beurre de cacahuète (le crunchy, avec des morceaux c'est meilleur). Ça donne ça :

Those of you whom did not know, I (most probably) broke my toe (I won't give any further details about how and why). It is painful, but above all disabling: I am walking with a limp, and therefore cannot run anymore.

My roomy, really sweet, was totaly panicking (I tried to explain her that it was no big deal). She rushed to buy peanut butter (crunchy one of course). Here you go:

Grande nouvelle : Pauline arrive. Pauline (alias Pilou) c'est certainement la plus chouette rencontre que j'ai faite à l'OT (Office du Tourisme) de Meg'. J-22, ça promet encore de belles péripéties !

Big news: Pauline is getting there. Pauline (dixit Pilou) is most probably the best person I met while working at the Megeve TO (Tourism Office). D-22, it helds a few surprises in store!

Oktoberfest Brisbane

Du 9-11 octobre et du 16-18 octobre c'est l'Oktoberfest à Brisbane. Une bonne occasion pour retrouver les Frenchies de la Gold Coast (Tony, Steve, Nico, etc.).

From the 9th to the 11th of October, Oktoberfest is in Brisbane. A great opportunity to meet again with the Frenchies from the Gold Coast (Tony, Steve, Nico, etc.).

Donc le 18/11/2009 je suis officiellement en grandes vacances (bah oui on marche la tête en bas, alors forcément les vacances d'été sont de décembre à mars).

I am officially starting my summer vacations on the 18th of November 2009 (indeed, we walk on our hands, summer vacations are from December to March).

Papa maman j'ai trouvé un boulot ! / Dad, Mom, I got a job!

RDV ce matin 9h30 avec le manager de Cash Converters (Fortitude Valley) pour mon tout premier entretien au pays des koalas (bah ouais y'a pas QUE des kangourous, niack).

I have got an appointment at 9:30am with the Cash Converters Manager (in Fortitude Valley); it will be my very first interview since I landed in koalas' land (Australia is not about kangaroos only).

Le poste : promotion du magasin (distribution de flyers quoi, au grands maux les grands remèdes).

The job: store promotion (in other words: distributing flyers).

Rémunération : AUD$20 de l'heure (donc plutôt pas mal).

Horaires : flexibles tant que je fais 15h par semaine (à répartir moitié en semaine + un samedi ou un dimanche).

Working hours: flexitime.
